Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy describes cancellation and refunds for Answerlume's Founding Monitor subscription when checkout is available.
1. Canceling a subscription
Customers can cancel through the Stripe billing portal linked from their signed-in pricing page, or by emailing hello@answerlume.com. To avoid the next renewal, submit the cancellation before the renewal date shown in your billing information.
2. When cancellation takes effect
Unless the checkout terms say otherwise, cancellation will stop automatic renewal and take effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Access to paid features will continue through that date. Canceling a launch-list signup simply removes the email from that list and has no billing effect.
3. Prorated refunds
Answerlume does not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time after a voluntary mid-period cancellation. This does not limit any non-waivable refund right available under applicable consumer law.
4. When a refund may be issued
Answerlume may issue a full or partial refund when:
- a duplicate or clearly erroneous Answerlume charge is confirmed;
- a verified material Answerlume service failure prevents meaningful use during a substantial part of the billing period;
- the paid service materially differs from the offer shown at checkout and the issue cannot be corrected; or
- applicable law requires a refund.
Variability in sampled AI answers, a lower-than-expected visibility score, or a third-party platform changing its results does not by itself qualify as a service failure.
5. How to request a refund
Email hello@answerlume.com with the subject "Refund request" and include the account email, charge date, amount, and a short explanation. Answerlume will acknowledge the request and provide a decision or request more information within 10 business days. Approved refunds will be sent to the original payment method; the bank or card network controls when the credit appears.
6. Charge disputes
Contact Answerlume before opening a charge dispute so the issue can be reviewed promptly. Nothing in this policy removes your right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge with your payment provider.
